Frank E. Andersen, 84, of Edison, passed away on December 20, 2022, at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison. He was born on January 4, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY. Frank was a graduate of St. Augustine's High School in Brooklyn, Class of 1955, and the University of Miami, Class of 1970. He served as the Chief Financial Officer for many companies in the building industry in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland. Frank had fond memories of his childhood in Coney Island, was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers as a boy, and the NY Yankees as an adult.  His affinity for sports also included track and field, boxing, football, and soccer.  Frank was an avid reader and had a great appreciation for literature, music, and fine dining.  He enjoyed fishing and running in his free time. He was a devoted grandfather and loved watching his grandchildren's musical and sporting events.

Frank was predeceased by three sisters: Audrey Weigand, Barbara Donato, and Doris Barrett; and two brothers: Robert and Jeffrey Andersen.

He is survived by his companion, Diane Andersen, of Metuchen; daughter, Audrey Andersen, of Scotch Plains; son, Edward Andersen and his wife, Rheanna, of Metuchen; five grandchildren: Claudia, Ben, Ella, Wes, and Keira; and a sister, Mary Andersen, of Exton, PA.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at supportwwp.org/welcome.
