Francisco Negron

Francisco Negron Aponte, 87, of Edison, passed away at his home in Edison on October 12, 2023. He was born in the beautiful Sierra de Cayey mountain range of Aibonito, Puerto Rico and has resided at his home in Edison for the past 56 years. Francisco was a proud tractor trailer driver for UPS for 31 years and veteran of the United States Navy, having served from 1955-1957. He was an active member of his church community at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy serving as parishioner, honorary photographer, and beloved youth group grandpa.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Aponte, his parents Antonio and Pauline Aponte, his brother Angelo Aponte, his sisters Mary Gonzalez and Angelina Torres, and his grandson Joshua Aponte.
Francisco is survived by his children: Thomas Aponte; Angelica Franklin and her husband, Keith; Francisco Aponte Jr.; Diane Durando and her husband, Dominick; his brothers: Alfred Aponte and his wife, Carmen; and Jose Aponte and his wife, Hilda; his grandchildren: Kyle Aponte and his wife, Lydia; Tyler Aponte; Stephen Aponte and his wife, Maricarmen; Sarah Cullinane and her husband, Ryan; Dominick J. Durando; Angelica Aponte; Riley Aponte; Emma Durando; Thomas Aponte Jr.; his great-grandchildren: Alex, Jaxson, Joey, Aiden Aponte; Hailey Cullinane; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held on October 18, 2023, from 4-8 PM at Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. A Memorial Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 10 AM. Followed by burial of cremated remains in the churchyard.
