Francis “Frankie” Serio, 56, of Edison, New Jersey, passed away on September 18, 2026.

Born on October 24, 1969, Frankie was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who loved his family deeply. He found happiness in the things he loved most - listening to classic rock, watching his favorite cartoons, cheering on the New York Giants, enjoying his favorite junk food, and living his life as a hippie at heart.

Frankie had an especially deep love for animals and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Sativa Lovely Lady, who passed before him and was never forgotten.

For many years, Frankie lived with Multiple Sclerosis and faced the challenges of his illness with incredible strength and resilience. No matter what he endured, he never complained.

Frankie was also a generous person with a kind heart. Although he did not have much monetarily, he still found ways to give to others and donated to several causes that were special to him. His generosity reflected the compassion and love he carried in his heart.

Frankie was predeceased by his father, Francis Serio. He is survived by his loving mother, Kathy Serio; his brother, David Serio; his sister, Stacey Veras; and his brother-in-law, Juan Veras.

Frankie came from a very large and loving family and will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, who shared countless memories and special moments with him.

He was a cherished uncle to his nephews, Nate Serio, Dean Serio, Rocco Serio, Antonio Veras, and Julian Veras, all of whom meant so much to him. To some of his nephews, he was affectionately known as “Uncle Frankie Donuts,” a nickname that will always bring a smile and be part of the special memories they carry with them.

There is comfort in knowing he is finally free from the struggles he endured and at peace being reunited with those he loved who went before him.

His strength will be remembered, his kindness will not be forgotten, his love will remain with his family, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
