Francis Leo Lyons, age 68 of Fords, died on Friday at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Somerset before moving to Fords 8 years ago.
Francis was a Maintenance Mechanic for American Cynamid in Bound Brook, retiring in 1995 after 30 years service to the company. He was a long time member of HUBS in Perth Amboy and also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his brothers.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Lyons who died in 1996.
Surviving are his sons, Prescott W. Quackenbush and his wife, Kathleen of Hillsboro, NJ, John Francis Lyons of Bound Brook, NJ and Michael Anthony Lyons of Sewell, NJ and his nine grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Marge Fata of Fords, NJ, Helen Ensel of South Plainfield, NJ and Barbara Payer of Fords, NJ, and his brothers, Thomas Lyons of Edison, NJ and Geroge Lyons of Fords, NJ.
