Francis M. Fahy, Sr., 89, of Fords, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Briarwood Care & Rehab Center, South Amboy. He was born and raised in Newark and had resided in Fords since 1955.

Mr. Fahy retired in 1987, from the A & P at Tano Mall, after over 41 years as a manager with A & P Supermarkets throughout the northern and central New Jersey area. He was a veteran of W W II, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion, T. Nulty Post # 471 of Iselin.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Fords.

Mr. Fahy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Geraldine Fahy who died in 2002, his daughter in law, Denise Fahy, who died in 2011, and his brothers, Peter, John and James Fahy.

He leaves behind his beloved sons, Francis M. Fahy, Jr. and his wife, Corinne of Port Reading and Michael J. Fahy of Milltown. and his four grandchildren, Gregory, Kenneth, Michael and Ryan Fahy.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863 followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
