Frances Jekelis Tripka, 60, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on April 7, 2013 at her home in Hopelawn.
She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Hopelawn for the last 16 years.
Frances was employed by the Perth Amboy Board of Education as a Media Specialist for 37 years, retiring in 2011. For several years she was awarded teacher of the year in Perth Amboy. She was a communicant at Holy Spirit Church, an avid Perth Amboy historian and a collector of dolls.
Surviving is her son, Andrew of Hopelawn; daughters: Kathryn Rapach and her husband Christopher of Avenel, Sarah Tripka of Hopelawn; a brother, Dr. Albert Jekelis and his wife Joy of Westfield, her companion of 23 years, Patrick Horan of Hopelawn and 2 nephews.
Funeral services will be held 9 AM, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, with a 9:30 AM funeral liturgy at Good Shepard Parish, Holy Spirit Church, Perth Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-8 PM.
