Florence Dolores Rokicki, 96, of Perth Amboy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Woodbridge.

Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania to Vincent and Alice Mescavage, Florence grew up in William Penn Upper Shaft, Pennsylvania and was one of six children. At the age of 19, Florence moved to New Jersey and settled in Perth Amboy. She worked as a secretary for 3 years at Tiflex, then for 11 years as a teacher's aide at the McGinnis School in Perth Amboy. She was also a long-time communicant of St. Stephen's RC Church in Perth Amboy.

Above all, Florence was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. An excellent cook, she created many delicious meals for her family over the years. Florence loved to decorate for the holidays and always made her home beautiful. An avid crocheter, she made numerous afghans and other items for her friends and family.

Florence's family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph's for their wonderful and loving care.

Devoted wife of the late Walter John Rokicki, who predeceased her in 1996. Beloved mother of Bernice A. Kopi and husband Ronald of Woodbridge, NJ, Stanley Walter Rokicki and wife Linda of Henderson, NV and Robert Michael Rokicki and wife Jackie of East Windsor, NJ. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Gzemski and husband Daniel, Kimberly Rokicki, Curtis Rokicki and wife Kelly, Greg Rokicki and Glen Rokicki. Cherished great-grandmother of Easton Rokicki. Caring sister of the late Violet Kolasa, Helen Calvert, Vera Strelecki, John Mescavage and Alex Mescavage. Florence is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private services are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy.
