Florence P. Kaminsky Garter, of Monroe, entered into eternal rest January 25, 2017, at her home.  She was born in Manhattan and was formerly of Freehold, before moving to Monroe three years ago.

Florence was on the Clerical Staff at Bell Laboratories in Holmdel for 17 years before retiring in 1996.  She had a life-long love of the Arts and was very creative, most recently painting in oils and receiving many ribbons from numerous exhibits.

Florence was predeceased by her husband, Leon A. Garter, in 1988.  She is survived by her children: Susan Garter and her husband, Laurence Minore, of Basking Ridge; Cindy Garter; Matthew Garter and his fiancée, Meili Lee; her grandchildren, Alexander Minore and Shawn Gumeny; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.  Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Beth Israel Cemetery.
