Private funeral services were held Saturday, August 1, 2015, for Florence M. (nee: Zetkulic) Gardella, 82, of Lavallette, who passed peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Haven Hospice Unit of the JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Lavallette for the last 20 years. Florence was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, with the Class of 1951. She was a very fine homemaker, a very loving and kind person and shall always be remembered as a most gracious host at her many family gatherings.
Florence leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years, John Gardella, her three beloved children, Robert Gardella, Sr. and his wife Donna of Avenel, David Gardella, Sr. and his wife, Arlene of Carteret and Carol Schwartz and her husband, Eric of Woodbridge, her six grandchildren, David, Jr., Steven, Diana and Robert Gardella, Jr. and Jake and Joe Schwartz, her 3 great grandchildren, David, III, Riley and Addison, her brother, Joseph Zetkulic of Brant Beach, and several nieces and nephews.
