Flora Neiss Laden, 87, of Orlando, FL, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the Florida South Hospital in Orlando. She was born in Perth Amboy and resided in Woodbridge for 52 years before moving to Monroe, then to Lakeworth, FL, and onto Orlando.
Flora was an Administrative Secretary in the Department of Human Services in Middlesex County for more than 20 years before retiring in 1994. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1940 and Rider College in 1943. She was a lifetime member of Congregation Adath Israel in Woodbridge and held offices in it's Sisterhood. Flora was a life member of Hadassah, the Brandeis University Women's Committee, and Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged. She also held offices with the Woodbridge Chapter of Hadassah, the Parents' Support Groups of Rutgers Preparatory School, Hillel Academy and Woodbridge Elementary School's PTA. She chaired the Adult Education Programs in Congregation Adath Israel and volunteered for Cerebral Palsy patterning and transcribing books into "Braille for the Blind."
Flora was predeceased by her husband Joseph Jacob Laden in 1999. She is survived by her sons Rand Neiss Laden and his wife Susan of Oviedo, FL and Gary Mark Laden of Washington DC; two grandchildren: Amanda Jill and Eric Michael Laden; and her great-granddaughter, Aliyah.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 12:30 pm at Beth Israel Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Everyone is asked to meet at the office.
