Fernando Raphael Piastre, 53, of Fords, passed away on August 5, 2021, in Bogota, Colombia.  Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, he had resided in Fords for the past 30 years.  Fernando was employed by Hillview Associates in Keasbey as the Maintenance Supervisor at Hillside Gardens for the past 36 years.  He was a loving husband, father and friend.  Raphael was kind-hearted and willing to help anyone in need.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Fernando is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Maria Piastre of Fords; his sons, Marcos and Enzo Piastre, both of Fords; his brothers, Jorge and Marcelo Piastre of Uruguay; and his mother- and father-in-law, Maricela Castaneda and Jesus Arturo Velasco of Cali, Colombia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 at the funeral home followed by a 2:00 pm Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, Fords.  Cremation will be private.
