Evelyn Marie Hansen Szilagyi 85, of Woodbridge, entered into eternal rest, September 13, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Staten Island and resided in Woodbridge for the past 64 years.

Evelyn graduated high school at 16 and began working as a secretary for various companies in Manhatten, before marrying and raising her family.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Woodbridge, and a member of the Golden Agers at the church.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 1993, and her sisters Alice Hansen, and Irene Blair. She is survived by her children; Amy M. Salvatore and her husband Thomas of Woodbridge, Nicholas W. Szilagyi of Woodbridge, and Matthew H. Szilagyi, and her grandchildren Nicholas, Daniel, and Grace.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church 600 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2-6 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.
