Evelyn Quinn, 92, of Edison entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the St. Joseph's Home in Woodbridge.
Evelyn was born in NYC, was formerly of Fords and Silver Ridge Park in Toms River, before moving back to Edison. She earned her BS degree in Business from Mt. St. Vincent College in NYC and worked at Export Cotton House in NYC for nine years, then raised her family, and later served as a substitute teacher in the Woodbridge school system for six years.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; in 1999, her son, Thomas Jr., in 1997; and her sister, Grace Whitty. She is survived by her four daughters: Patricia Farrell and her husband Dennis of Westwood, Joan Burns and her husband Frank of Elizabeth, Anne Lyons and her husband Gary of Fords, and Geraldine Preller and her husband Walter of South Brunswick; and seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Charles, Mark, Daniel, Christine, Michael, and Laura.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church. Visitation is Sunday, May 1, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
