Evelyn Mrozek, age 97, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, in Edison, NJ, where she was a resident of Brighton Gardens for the past two years.

She was born in Fords, New Jersey on February 1, 1929 to the late John and Anna Rebeck and was a lifelong resident. Evelyn worked as a sales clerk for the Morris Store in Metuchen and Ford's Jewelers for many years before her retirement and was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church and a former member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Evelyn was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Mrozek, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Surviving is her daughter, Karen Abramo and husband Joseph of Pennsylvania, along with many nephews and nieces.

A memorial mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, New Jersey. Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM in the church immediately preceding the memorial mass. Interment will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.
