Eugenia Velez, 92, of Perth Amboy, passed away on July 17, 2017. She was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, on September 6, 1924. Eugenia was a Homemaker, she was a former communicant of La Asunción Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Eugenia was predeceased by her husband, Angel Bermudez Velez, in 1983 and a son, Antonio Velez, in 1987.

She is survived by six children: Jose Velez of Perth Amboy; Francisca Figueroa of Ormand Beach, FL; Simeon Velez of Newport News, VA; Arcelia Velez of Toms River; Adela Ayala of Charlestown, WV; Maria Velez Kenney of Perth Amboy; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Agustina Tellado, of Perth Amboy.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Funeral services will begin Thursday 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery.
