Eugene J. Clebock, 82, of Perth Amboy quietly passed away at home on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, he was the youngest of eight children born to Michael and Catherine Kormandy Clebock. Retiring in 2002, Eugene spent his career working for Ecolab's in Avenel where he oversaw the mixing of the ingredients for producing their soap products. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing cards, watching football in the fall, and baseball during the summer months. He loved to dance, and listen to the oldies, especially on "Cousin Brucie's" radio show. Above all, Eugene cherished the time he spent with his family and telling stories to the younger generations. He particularly relished telling stories about how much you could get at the movies for a nickel.

Eugene was preceded in death by six of his brothers and sisters, and by a great-grandchild Jakai Forbes. He is survived by his lovely wife with whom he just celebrated their 60 ^th wedding anniversary, Kathryn Halasz Clebock. He is also survived by his children: Eugene Clebock, Sherri Forbes, her husband Edward, Rick Clebock, and his girlfriend Yelitza Diaz; his grandchildren: Samantha, Kane, Kaily, Cyrus and Austin Clebock, Edward, Joshua, and Justin Forbes; a great-granddaughter Tatianna Forbes; brother: Frank Clebock; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, where services will take place on Friday, May 20, 2023 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Hopelawn.
