Obituary

Ethel (Kardos) Kramer, 95, of Hopelawn, died Monday, November 22, 2010, at her home.

She was born in Andrejci, Prekmurje, Yugoslavia. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1929, settling in Perth Amboy, before moving to Hopelawn in 1943, where she has permanently resided.

In addition to being a deeply religious woman, Ethel enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, embroidering, and entertaining all her family and friends. She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Perth Amboy and the Hopelawn Senior Citizens Club.

She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew J. Kramer, who died in March of 2000 and her son, Andrew E. Kramer who died July of 2009.

She is survived by her son, Alfred J. Kramer, Sr., and his wife Bridgette of Colonia; her 2 daughters: Lillian Bencsko and her husband Andrew, of Edison, and Cecilia Szeg and her husband Frank, of Ewing; a brother,
Ivan Kardos, of Lakewood; a sister, Mary Rusznak, of Perth Amboy; her grandchildren: Beth and Wayne Smith, Robert and Wendy Kramer, Andrew and Michelle Bencsko, Mark and Kristin Kramer, Andrea Kramer, Alfred Kramer, Jr., Brian Kramer, Melissa and Bob Nelson, Monica and Jay Godin, Monica and Bob Dynow, Frank and Teresa Szeg, Randy and Melanie Szeg; and her great-grandchildren: Jacob, Tricia,
Karl, Bruno, Miller, Madden, Shane, Ryan, Matthew, Conner, Jane, Robert, Joe, Katie, Anthony, and Michael.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at 9:15 a.m. by the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 662 Amboy Avenue, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery in Hopelawn.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 26, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 662 Amboy Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
