Angela Esther Garcia (née Diaz) passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Placetas, Cuba, on August 27, 1934, to the late Luis and Rosalina (née Mesa) Diaz. Angela left Cuba in 1966 settling in perth amboy for the past 59 years. She held several jobs throughout the years up until her retirement, she lived a life rooted in family, warmth, and love. She found joy in cooking for those she cherished, dancing, and spending time with her family, who were always at the center of her world. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Esther was predeceased by her devoted husband of 44 years, Omar Garcia, in March 2005; her brothers, Jose Luis Diaz and Jose Luis Francisco Diaz; and her sisters, Juana Diaz, Elsa Diaz, Leyda Diaz, and Haydee Diaz.

She is survived by her loving sons, Luis Garcia of Miami, Florida, and Omar Garcia Jr. and his wife, Angela's (née Mastorio), of Avenel, New Jersey. Angela was a proud grandmother to Jennifer Maher and her husband, Kevin, and Nicholas Garcia and his wife, Jacklyn. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Layla, Kevin Joseph, and Luca, as well as many nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy.

Esther's legacy of love, family, and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Flynn and Son Funeral Homes, 424 East Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 on Monday December 29, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 380 Smith St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at 10:00 am followed by burial at Alpine Cemetery, 703 Amboy Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
