Estelle (nee Metchik) Dobbs, passed away on December 18, 2015, at Venice Regional Hospital. Estelle was born in Yonkers. She spent her childhood in Tampa, FL. She spent most of her life in Perth Amboy before moving to Venice, FL. She was the Owner/Operator of Dobbs Millinary in Perth Amboy. She also worked in sales for Bergdorf Goodman in NYC. Estelle was a member of the Board at Raritan Bay Medical Center; a member of the Raritan Bay Yacht Club and a member of Congregation Shaary Tefiloh. She had a zest for life and a great sense of humor.
Estelle was predeceased by her husband, Callman B. Dobbs in 1982 and two brothers, Fred and Sam Metchik.
She is survived by her daughter, Davia Helmer, of Venice Fl.; two grandsons, Scott Helmer and his wife, Linda, and David Helmer and his wife, Nikki; five great-grandchildren. Zachary, Devon, Gracie, Charolette and Patrick,
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 am in Shaary Tefiloh cemetery in Perth Amboy. Arrangements are entrusted to the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
Memorial contributions may be made in Estelle's name to the Deborah Hospital Foundation.
