Ernest Joseph Luciano Sr. 80 of Toms River, died Friday March 25, 2022 peacefully at his home.

Ernest was born in Newark, NJ, the first son of Joseph Luciano and Rose DeFranza. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1958-1962. He married the love of his life, Lucille Ann Monte and they had three beautiful children. Ernest worked as a machinist mechanic at Schering-Plough for 30 years before his retirement. He loved red wine and cooking a pot of gravy (not sauce) every Sunday.

Ernest loved listening to country music and tending to his garden. He is predeceased by his wife, Lucille Ann Luciano in 2018. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Luciano and Ernest Luciano Jr.;his sisters, Joanne Gallagher and Phyllis Battoglia; his grandchildren, Christian Hansen, Emily Krafft,  Carolina Pelaez and Elizabeth Luciano.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2022, starting at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 620 Amboy Avenue, Edison. Cremation was held privately.
