Erminia Badolato, 87, of Fords, died Tuesday December 14, 2010, at the Haven Hospice Unit at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
She was born in Tiriolo, Cantazaro, Italy. She was formerly of Perth Amboy, and moved to Fords 43 years ago. Erminia was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. She loved embroidering and dressmaking. She was a talented seamstress.
Erminia is predeceased by her husband, Luigi Badolato, who died in December of 1985; her three brothers: Giuseppi, Masino, and Antonio. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Stella Puerschner and her husband Lawrence of Colonia; her 2 sons: Augustine Badolato and his wife Barbara Bush Badolato of Keansburg, and Alfieri Pietro Badolato and his wife Mary of Iselin; her four grandchildren: Carl Lawrence Puerschner in Arizona; Leslie Ann Koch of Berkeley Heights; and Sophia and Peter Baldolato of Iselin; her 5 great grandchildren: Carl, Emily, Gabriel, Brand0n, and Savanna; her 2 step-grandchildren: Tessa and Rhiannon; and her two sisters: Sestina Paone Scalzo and Rosina Paone Carrier in Italy.
Funeral services will be on Friday, December 17, 2010, at 10:000 a.m. from the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church Fords. Entombment will follow in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 16, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
