Eric Nagengast, 79, of Edison, passed away on March 28, 2020, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.  Born in Newark, he resided in Edison for the past 56 years.  He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in North Edison for over 40 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Post #65.  Eric was  a loving husband and father.  He was a friend to anyone who met him.  His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Eric was predeceased by his brother, Gregory, in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (DiTacconi) Nagengast; his daughters, Alexandra R. Ginda and her husband, Charles and Teresa Nagengast; his "grandpup," Dale Ginda; his sister-in-law, Rosemary Lithgow; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.  A celebration of Eric's life will be scheduled at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Veteran's Administration or ASPCA in Eric's name will be appreciated.
