Emmanuel "Boise"
Jerald G. Lolarga
April 21, 1962 – July 17, 2022
In loving memory of
Emmanuel Jerald "Boise" G. Lolarga
Our beloved, Emmanuel "Boise" Lolarga, has passed away quietly at home on Sunday, July 17, 2022. He was 60 years old, loved and admired by everyone who knew him.
He was born on April 21, 1962, in Manila, Philippines, to the late Ernesto Sr. and Erlinda Lolarga.
Ever since Boise was a child, he was an architect at heart. It was no surprise that he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with the Class of 1985. When he came to the United States, he worked at WSP USA (formerly known as Parsons Brinckerhoff). He had an illustrious career at the company, spending more than 26 years as a Project Manager, Supervising Architect, and Quality Assurance Manager, where he collaborated on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) East Side Access Project in New York City. Construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2022 and be available for public use. Boise was so close to seeing this behemoth of a project through to the end. He will be there in spirit during its grand opening.

As a member of Batch '80, Boise was a proud fellow of the University of the Philippines' Upsilon Sigma Phi Fraternity, the oldest Greek-letter organization in Asia and the longest running student organization in existence at the school. He was a continuously active member of his fraternity beyond his time in university, organizing events and keeping memories alive for alumni. For the past three years, he served as Upsilon Sigma Phi's North America Northeast Chapter President. He loved and enjoyed the fellowship with his brothers.
Boise was also a Boy Scout growing up in the Philippines. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the organization's program. When his son, Matthew, joined the organization, as a member of Troop 66 in Edison, NJ, Boise made it his mission to help instill the values and ideals he had learned during his time in Scouting and help guide not only his son on the path towards Eagle Scout, but also many others in the troop. Upon his son's achievement of the Eagle Scout rank, it distinguished Matthew as the 4 th generation in the family to accomplish this feat, which was a very proud moment for Boise as both a Scout leader and father. He truly cherished his time with the Boy Scouts and Troop 66.
Boise is survived by his loving wife, Marta, his dear son, Matthew, as well as his caring siblings, Eileen, Emelinda, Eloise, Eleanor, and Ernesto Jr. and their spouses.
