Emma Quiles, 81, of Avenel, passed away on April 14, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico on November 28, 1940. She was a retired Presser. Emma was a member at the Second Home Adult Medical Day Care in Perth Amboy. She also loved music and dancing.

Emma was predeceased by husband, Angel Manuel Ortiz; a son, Gabriel Quiles; three brothers: Danny, Jose, and Eddie Ortiz; and a sister, Maria Torres.

She is survived by two daughters, Nelly Quiles, of Matawan; Miriam Vargas, of Avenel; two sons, Benjamin Quiles, of Baton Rouge, LA; and Carlos Vargas, of Baton Rouge, LA; eleven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, 11 am-1 pm. Funeral Services will be 1 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery.
