Emma Loiacono, 93, formerly of Edison, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Regency Heritage Rehab Center, Somerset.
Born in New York City, formerly of Perth Amboy, and Fords, Emma had resided in Edison the last 13 years.
She was a very talented dressmaker and seamstress for over 42 years with International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Hopelawn, and an active member of the Clara Barton Seniors, the Fords/Keasbey Seniors, and the Olive Street Seniors of Perth Amboy.
Emma was predeceased by her beloved husband, James V. Loiacono, who died in 1987.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including, Dorothy Cavallo, Marion Aronson, Nancy Milanese and Celeste Catalano, and many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 2 pm to 6 pm. at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. The members of the Fords/Keasbey Seniors will meet to pay respects on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Most Holy Rosary Church, Hopelawn. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
