Emily A.
Vigliarolo
June 22, 1934 – May 17, 2024
On Friday, May 17, 2024, Emily Vigliarolo, of Edison NJ, passed away after battling cancer for twelve years.
She is survived by her son, Frank Vigliarolo, and daughter, Maryann Vigliarolo. Emily Vigliarolo was born June 22, 1934, to Ann and Emil Dietrich. Sadly, both parents died while she was a young girl. Her aunt and uncle, Mary and Anthony Masandas raised Emily as their own daughter in Nutley, NJ. Their daughter Beatrice Masandas, later married to Frederick Lucka, was like a big sister to Emily. Their bond remained unshakable until Beatrice's death in 2006. After attending high school, Emily worked first at Prudential Insurance in Newark, then at Motor Club of America in Newark, where she met her future husband and father of her two children, Frank John Vigliarolo.
After raising two children, Emily Vigliarolo held numerous jobs including teachers' aid and babysitter. After the passing of her husband in 1982, Emily got a job at Macy's in Menlo Park. While at Macy's Emily held several positions, most notably as a selling specialist of men's ties. At age 70 Emily officially retired in 2004.
