Emilie Jockwer (nee Ulko), 94, of Edison, passed away on April 12, 2019, at her home.  Born in Poland to the late Julius and Anna Ulko, she had resided in Edison for the past 70 years.  She was employed as a Crossing Guard with Edison Township for 25 years before her retirement.  Emilie was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church throughout her life.  She had a passion for gardening and baking.

She was predeceased by her husband, Henry K. Jockwer (2004); her son, Henry Roy Jockwer (2008); and her beloved parents.

Emilie is survived by her daughter, Janet George and her husband, Viji; her son, John Jockwer and his wife, Ellen; her grandchildren: Sarah, Emilie, Kelly and Becca; her great-granchild, Eleanor; and her sister, Lilo Stott.

Visitation will be on Monday, April, 15, 2019, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords 08863.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 16, at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by a service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.

Donations in Emilie's name may be made to the Memorial Fund at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
