Emil J. Petrick, Jr. 66, of Fords, passed away on June 18, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Perth Amboy and lived most of his life in Fords.
Emil graduated from Newark College of Engineering, served in the US Army Reserves and then worked for 33 years as a Risk Manager for the Port Authority of NY and NJ, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed flea markets, collecting and restoring old bikes, especially Schwinns, and always had an antique car over the years.
Emil is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathleen (Seymour), his sons, Joseph and wife Amy of West Palm Beach, FL, Dennis and his wife Laura of Lake Worth, FL, Christopher of Fords, his daughter, Mary of Westminster, MD; his parents, Emil Sr. and Josephine ( D'Andrea ) of Fords , a brother, Mark, his sister, Diana Stomberg, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, with a 10 AM funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Cremation will be private. Viewing will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
