Elsye T Crossin, age 97, of Edison, NJ died peacefully on March 27, 2025, at her residence.
Born and raised in Kearny, NJ, she was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson Univ. with a degree in Merchandising.
Elsye was a passionate interior designer, helping many happy clients at Ethan Allen in Watchung and later establishing her design practice. She was committed to volunteering in many community services like the NJ Symphony Orchestra, the Westfield Service League Consignment Shop, and until recently the Auxiliary of the JFK Medical Center Foundation in Edison.
Elsye loved traveling, listening to music, reading, and talking on the phone with close friends and relatives. She also loved spending time outdoors and keeping herself active. Throughout her life, she found water for swimming or sailing, land for golfing or walking, gardens for planting, roads for traveling, and newspapers for reading. Elsye was also an impressive paddle tennis player.
She is survived by her children Nancy (Rich) Petrenka, Kevin Crossin, Suzanne (Bill) Einstein, and James (Tamara) Crossin, Jr. as well as her 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband James Crossin, Sr (1995), her second husband Tom Good (2021), and her sister Doreen Lyons (2014).
Arrangements are under the direction of the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, Metuchen. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the JFK Medical Center Foundation (65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820)
