Elizabeth M. Zak, 72, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy.  Born on December 27, 1947, in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was formerly of Metuchen and had resided in Parlin since 1972.  Elizabeth was a graduate of Metuchen High School.  She was a retired Cashier for the Shop Rite Supermarket in Parlin where she was employed for over 20 years.  She was a Sunday School Teacher at the First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville.  Elizabeth served as a class mother for both of her sons when they attended the Arleth Elementary School in Parlin and was an avid bowler, involved with various leagues in the area.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Eleanor Fentiman and her sister, Carol Fentiman, who died in 2013.

Elizabeth leaves behind her beloved husband of 47 years, Frank M. Zak; her two beloved sons, Timothy F. Zak of Pedricktown, NJ, and Jeffrey A. Zak and his wife, Kristen, of Spotswood, NJ; her three dear grandchildren: Erin, Emily and AJ; and her dear aunt, Beatrice Reynolds, of Old Bridge, NJ.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840.
