Obituary of Elizabeth Toth


Elizabeth Toth, 103, of Metuchen, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at The Woodlands-LTC in Plainfield. Mrs. Toth was born in Perth Amboy to the late Charles and Rose (Devald) Takacs and had previously lived in Edison before moving to Metuchen ten years ago.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

She was a former parishioner of St. Helena's Church in Edison.

She was predeceased by beloved her husband John S. Toth in 1997, and also by five sisters: Rose Volpone, Barbara Getsey, Ann Lindros, Irene "Mimmie" Galuska and Mary Salvia, and two brothers Charles and Joseph Takacs.

Surviving are her son: John Toth of Metuchen, her daughter, Leticia Baxter of Edison, her brother, John Takacs of Concord, CA, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords. Interment will follow in the Our Lady Of Hungary Cemetery in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
