Elizabeth A. "Betty Pappas" Pappachristus, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2025. She was born in Perth Amboy on February 12, 1940. She was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy and was an active parishioner of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Betty took pride in working as the Director of Nursing for 40 years at Raritan Bay Medical Center, and also was associated with 2nd Home in Perth Amboy and the Monroe Daycare Center.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Elizabeth (Norko) Siewarga; her first husband, Thomas Cottrell (2004); her second husband Harry Pappachristus (2018); and her brother Robert "Bob" Siewarga (2018).

Surviving Betty are her children, Kellie Cuzzola and Kyle Cottrell; her grandchildren Thomas Cottrell and Zahara Cottrell along with their mother Alcira, Gabriella Cownel and her husband William, Angie Vigliotti and her husband Aaron, and Nicholas Cuzzola and his wife Courtney; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Margot, Willow, and Vincent.

Visitation will take place between the hours of 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Funeral services will begin the next morning at the funeral home at 8:45 AM, followed by a procession over to St. Peter's Episcopal Church for a 9:30 AM Funeral Liturgy. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made out to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or St. Peter's Food Pantry
