Elizabeth Murray (née Kenny) died July 19, 2018 after a prolonged battle with Parkinson's Disease. "Betty" was predeceased by Arthur, her husband of 54 years, in January, 2018.
Born to the late, James & Ellen Kenny, in Jersey City, NJ, Betty was second youngest of seven children.
A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Jersey City, Betty spent many years as a paralegal in New York City, returning to college in the 1980s to obtain her Associate's Degree.
Betty moved to Lyndhurst, NJ in 1963, where she raised a family, returned to her paralegal career & spent more than 25 years as a proud Girl Scout leader. Betty enjoyed road trips with Arthur, attending theatre, reading & playing the slots.
She is survived by her brother James, her children Elizabeth & John, grandchildren Anuar & Aruana & granddogs Emmy & Martin.
Friends & relatives are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ, from 8:30am to 9:45am, Saturday, August 4, 2018. A funeral liturgy will follow in St. Francis Cathedral Church, 32 Elm St., Metuchen, NJ at 10:15am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research,
