Obituary of Elizabeth A. Kibala


Elizabeth A. "Betty" Kibala, 92, of Perth Amboy, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison. Mrs. Kibala was born in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Bodo and had lived all of her life in Perth Amboy.
She was employed as a lunch aid with the Perth Amboy Board of Education for thirty-six years. Elizabeth was a member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish-Our Lady of Hungary Church, Perth Amboy, the Rosary Society, Fellowship Club and Sick and Death Benefit Society.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2016 and a sister Irene Kun.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Joseph F. Kibala and his wife Jean of Fords, her daughter, Joy E. Quick and her husband William of Flemington, four grandchildren, Kevin and Paul Kibala, William and Melanie Quick, two great grandchildren, Jude and Tessa.
Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am mass in the Our Lady of Hungary Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flower memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
