Elizabeth Chezmar 92, of Princeton, entered into eternal rest, April 9, 2018. A long-time resident of Edison, she lived in Spring Lake and Atlanta before moving to Princeton four years ago.
Elizabeth graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in 1946, received a BS in Nursing from Rutgers in 1967, and MS in General Professional Education in 1970 from Seton Hall. Her long nursing career included serving as Director of Nursing at Perth Amboy General Hospital, Director of Nursing at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and as a nursing instructor at Middlesex County College.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1998 and siblings Anna Lucas and John Onder. She is survived by her children: Beth Chezmar of Princeton; Judith Chezmar and her husband, Stephen Redd, of Atlanta, GA; and Anne Bourne of Pinehurst, NC; her grandchildren, Amanda Winchester, William Redd, and Anna Redd; and her sister, Mary Chezmar.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 97 Hoy Avenue, Fords. Interment of her cremains will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
