Elizabeth Carol Bates 70, of Perth Amboy, entered into eternal rest, August 23, 2016 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Perth Amboy and was a lifelong resident of the City.

Elizabeth was a Human Resources Manager at Greater NY Hospital Association in NYC for over 40 years before retiring in 2013.

She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary's R C Church in Perth Amboy and was a member of the Library Board of Trustees in Perth Amboy.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents John Alan Bates Sr. and Anne Sudzina Bates, and her siblings John Alan Bates Jr. and Margaret Diane Rickwood. She is survived by her nephews, several cousins, dear friends, and godchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Trinity R C Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation in Thursday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to the Perth Amboy Public Library 196 Jefferson Avenue, Perth Amboy.
