Elena Fazio (nee: Miniaci), 80, passed away into eternity on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Catanzaro, Italy, in 1934. In 1971, Elena immigrated to the U.S. with her husband, Giovanni and their four children. She resided in Perth Amboy for many years, later moving to Fords, NJ. Elena was a devoted, caring, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother "nonna," whose life was a continual sacrifice of herself for her children and her family. All who knew her, loved her for her kindness, compassion, humility and great cooking. She will be sorely missed and will always be in her family's hearts and minds.

Elena was predeceased by her husband, Giovanni, in 2006, two sisters and a brother. Surviving are her children, Rosario and his wife, Gina, of Old Bridge, Caterina Iacuzio and her husband, Ralph, of Fords, Gisella Berlingieri and her husband, Antonio, of Old Bridge; and Cinzia Zambrowski and her husband, Tom, of Fords. Also surviving are her grandchildren: John, Maria, Tina, Thomas, Christina, Giacomo, Thomas III, Elena and Russ; her brother, Salvatore Miniaci, and sister, Patrizia Miniaci, both in Italy; and many nieces and nephews both here and in Italy.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords with a 10 AM Service of Divine Liturgy at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a 7:30 PM Parastas Service.
