When Eleanor and her husband Harold weren't attending their children and grandchildren's sporting events, they enjoyed "antiquing".

Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Harold G. Hackett, in 2011; and her 6 siblings – Ann, Dorothy, Genevieve, Helen, Raymond and Ted.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Mulvihill and her husband, Paul of Long Branch and her sons; Harold of Edison, Lee of Boca Raton, FL and Thomas and his wife Faith, of Woodbridge; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She also leaves her siblings, Henry Winkle of Rahway, NJ, John Winkle of St. Louis, MO and Irene Jaeger of Toms River.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, beginning at 10am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge.
