Eleanor Suchan, 91, of Metuchen, passed away at home on May 7, 2021.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry Suchan.

Eleanor was born in New York City on April 11, 1930 and she resided in Metuchen for over 70 years.

Eleanor is survived by her loving children, Martin Suchan, Barbara Martino, and Patricia Kozic; five grandchildren, Tamara Suchan, Brittney Suchan, Nick Martino, Michael Martino and Sarah Kozic; three great grandchildren, Noah Martino, Olivia Pigg, and Camdon Pigg; and her sister, Josephine Gonyo, of Fords.

Eleanor was an active member of the community and her neighborhood. She worked for many years as an Election Poll Clerk and was an active member of the Metuchen Senior Center, Metuchen Garden Club, Rosary Society of Our Lady of Peace parish in Fords, the Columbiettes of Our Lady of Peace parish, The Woman's Club of Fords and the Woodbridge branch of AARP. Eleanor loved gardening, FB Scrabble with her friends, crocheting and various needlework with many pieces that were ribbon winners at arts and crafts shows.

Visitation for Eleanor will be held from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Tuesday, May 11 ^th , 2021 at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords NJ 08863. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 12 ^th , 2021 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church.  Interment will follow at 11:45 AM at St. James Cemetery.
