Eleanor Sokolowski, 86, of Fords, passed peacefully, with her loving family at her side, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, on Friday, February 14, 2014.

She worn in Perth Amboy, and had resided in Fords the last 50 years.

She was a life long member of the Simpson United Methodist Church in Perth Amboy.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Sokolowski, who died in 2000, her devoted brothers, Walter and George Thomas and her dear sister, Rose Thomas.

Eleanor leaves behind her seven beloved children, Linda Roseberry of Staten Island, NY, Nancy Nelson and her husband, John, of Lanoka Harbor, John Sokolowski of South Plainfield, Barbara Brannan and her husband, Robert, of Howell, Gail Govelitz of Lewes, DE, Barry Sokolowski and his wife, Anita, of Hopelawn, and Edward Sokolowski of Fords, and her 12 loving grandchildren, her 9 great grandchildren, her devoted sister, Margaret Olinger of Corning, NY, her devoted brother, Antonio Ghigi of Rehoboth Beach, DE and her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow in the Shoreland Memorial Gardens in Hazlet.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
