Eleanor Petronella, 98, of Piscataway,  passed away peacefully at the Parker Home in Piscataway on March 28, 2024. She was born on April 26,1925 in Brooklyn, NY.  Eleanor worked in Accounts Receivable at Revlon in Edison and was the Past President of the Italian American Club in Metuchen. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her loving family.  She lived in Metuchen for many years before moving to Highland Park and Piscataway.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Alexander Petronella in 1979; four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Dafonseca, and her husband, Augusto, of Metuchen; two grandsons, Bryan Kaplan, and his wife, Christy Lee Hughes of, CA; and Christopher Kaplan, of NJ.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, 10 am-12:30 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 12:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
