Eleanor Dorothy Christoffersen ("El") – loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully at Princeton Hospital on April 20, 2020, age 98.  Born on November 30, 1921 in Perth Amboy, N.J., El was the daughter of Olivia and Christian Agesen.  She graduated from Perth Amboy High School and Miss Whitman's School for Girls.

El worked for many years at Merck & Company, Inc.  She was an avid golfer and belonged to Metuchen Golf & Country Club, Seaview Country Club, Jonathan's Landing Country Club and Rossmoor Golf Club.  El enjoyed playing bridge and solving crosswords.

Predeceased in 2013 by her husband Robert, she is survived by her daughters, Jane Bevis and husband Richard, Susan Goodelman and husband Ira, and Bette Daniele and husband Mark.  She is also survived by her grandsons, Joshua Goodelman and wife Christine, Jonathan Goodelman and wife Michelle, granddaughter Nicole Daniele, and great-grandchildren Ava, Jared, and Ethan Goodelman.

Funeral arrangements are private under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.  A memorial service will be held at a future date.
