Elaine P Quattrone, passed away quietly on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Hackensack Meridian/JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 67.

Elaine was born in Irvington and raised in Hillside, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Szrom Zach.  She was a 1974 graduate of Hillside High School.  Elaine then went on to complete her nurse's education and become and RN.  She began her 40 plus year career as a nurse at JFK Medical Center in Edison where she worked in a variety of departments to include: the ICU Dept., Emergency Room, Compensation Clinic and with the Infectious Diseases Dept. In 1987 she married George Quattrone, and they settled in Metuchen to raise their family.

An avid cat lover, Elaine was a volunteer at Angel Paws in Woodbridge. She enjoyed going to see shows in New York and the summer plays series at the "Plays in the Park" in Roosevelt Park.  She and George would frequent the annual Fourth of July Fireworks in Sewaren where she also liked to visit to just relax by the water. Of course, this relaxation was made complete with her favorite iced coffee with cream and sugar of course. A lover of pop music, Elaine was a fan particularly of Jay Black and the Americans.

Her beloved husband George passed away in July of 2010. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law George Quattrone, Sr.   Elaine will be missed immeasurably her loving daughter Elizabeth and her husband Vincent DeLuca, and Marie Quattrone; grandson George DeLuca; sister Maryann Eilbacher, brother Ronald and his wife MaryLou Zach, Sr. mother-in-law Delores Quattrone; sister-in-law Gloria DeMarzo, her husband Frank; and one niece, several nephews, a great-niece, and several great-nephews.

Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00pm, where funeral services will begin on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:00am.  A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:30am in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Fords.  Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of the Crucifixion in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
