Einer Sorensen, 87, of Edison entered into eternal rest Friday, November 19, 2010, at the N.J. Veterans Home in Menlo Park.
He was born in Perth Amboy and is formerly of Port Reading moving to Edison 54 years ago. Einer was an army veteran of WW I. He worked as a construction superintendent with Michael Reese and Co. in Fords before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Thor Lodge #46 of the Danish Brotherhood and was past president of the Danish Home in Edison.
Einer was predeceased by his son, Glen Einer Sorensen, in 1995. Heis survived by his wife Audrey Thullesen Sorensen, to whom he was married for 60 years; his daughter, Gail C. Drew and her husband Joseph of Edison; and two granddaughters: Kristin M. Cheh and Kaitlin J. Drew.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday November 28, 2010, at 1:00 pm at the Flynn and Son/ Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. There will be a gathering from 12:00-1:00 pm.
