Edward G. Yures, 82, of Fords, passed peacefully, with his loving family at his side, on Monday, May 26, 2014 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
He was born and raised in Perth Amboy, was formerly of Keyport and has resided in Fords the past 10 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a retired employee with Englehard Industries in Newark, prior to that he had been employed with Charles Martin of Sewaren and E.I. Dupont of Sayreville.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Yures and his sister, Adele Y. Luniewski.
He leaves behind his three beloved children, Nancy Granas and her husband, Vincent, with whom he resided, Patricia Dell of Matawan, and Edward Yures and his wife, Michele of Manalapan, his seven loving grandchildren, Ashley, Marissa, Matthew, Oliver, Gabriella, Isabella and Grant.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords, followed by interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
