Edward F. Wares, 77, of Edison entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
He was born in Jersey City and resided in Edison for the past 35 years. Ed was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed gardening and fishing. After serving his country, Ed went to work at Atlas Overhead Door Co. in Edison. he was employed at Atlas for 40 years where he was the Production Foreman before retiring in 1996.
Ed is survived by his wife, Doris M. Harvie Wares, to whom he was married for 54 years; his two daughters: Sharon G. De Litizia and her husband Mark of Freehold, and Kelly L. Priante and her husband Stephen of Howell; his son, Edward F. Wares and his wife Candice of Fords; five grandchildren: Joseph, De Anna, Kimberly, Ashley, and Heather; and his brother, George, of Honesdale, PA.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 10:30 am from the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
