Edward C. Smith, Jr., 83, of Edison, passed away on October 31, 2023.

Edward was born and raised in East Orange, NJ.  After high school he served in the US Air Force from 1958-1962.  He later became a bus driver for several bus companies including Greyhound, Suburban, and Rutgers University Bus Services.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents Margaret Petruzziello Smith and Edward C. Smith, Sr., his brothers Neil and Kevin Smith, and a daughter Jeannine Smith. He is survived by his children: Kelly Hill, Colleen Lynch, Christi Lynn Smith, Robert, Joseph and Edward Smith.  He is also survived by his brother Robert Smith, and sisters Carol Munt, Mary Alice Petzinger, Margaret Davis Jane McLellan; and numerous grandchildren.

Cremation will take place privately.  Arrangements are under the care of the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Fords.
