Edward MacDougall, age 72, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 14, 2026 in Metuchen, NJ.

Born on July 22, 1953, in Newark, NJ, Edward has been a resident of Metuchen with his family since 1992. After graduating high school, Edward went on to technical school where he learned skills to build a lifelong career in IT. He most recently worked for Ralph Lauren as an IT consultant before retiring a few years ago. Edward was a true handyman, not only an expert in technology, but also a skilled tinkerer and woodworker. He also had a deep love for fishing and gardening.

Edward is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Beatrice MacDougall.

Surviving Edward is his beloved wife of 51 years, Nancy; his four children, Gary (Stephanie) MacDougall, Kelly MacDougall, Glenn MacDougall, and John MacDougall; his grandchildren, Reid, Claire, Mark, Ember, Hollyn, and Mikayla; and his brother, Robert "Bob" (Debbie) MacDougall; and many nieces and nephews, as well as several great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, between the hours of 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation will be private.
