In Loving Memory of Dr. Edward Josell, D.O.

Dr. Edward Josell, D.O., 86, of Edison, passed away on February 11, 2024, at JFK Medical Center, leaving a legacy of compassion and dedication to the field of medicine. Born on October 15, 1937, in Manhattan, Edward was a beloved figure in his community, known for his tireless commitment to healthcare.

Edward graduated from Upsala College Class of 1961 and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 1965. In 1968, he founded The Fords Family Practice in Fords, where he served as a General Practitioner providing caring medical attention to countless patients over the years. Additionally, Edward held the esteemed position of Head Medical Director of Peer Review Organization of NJ in East Brunswick, further showcasing his leadership and dedication to the medical community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Edward had a zest for life and enjoyed pursuing his interests. A lover of jazz, fishing, and bridge. He found joy in spending time with his wife, family, grandchildren and friends.

Edward was predeceased by his son, Michael Josell, in 2021, He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Lynn Josell, of Edison; a son, Jeff Josell, and his wife Michelle, of Metuchen; a daughter, Deborah Josell, and her husband, Anthony Murphy, of Aberdeen; a grandson, Ryan, and a granddaughter, Rory. His family was a source of pride and joy, and he leaves behind cherished memories and a profound impact on their lives.

Dr. Edward Josell will be remembered not only for his medical expertise but also for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and the well-being of those he served. May his legacy continue to inspire and may he rest in eternal peace.
