Obituary

Edward F. Johnson 80 of Hillsborough entered into eternal rest, Monday May 4, 2015 at the HPH Hospice Center in New Port Richey, FL. He was born in Perth Amboy and was a long time resident of the city before moving to Hillsborough.

He was employed as the Head Mechanic at the Perth Amboy Police garage for 18 years before retiring in 1998. He had previously worked as a Mechanic at A P Green Refractories in Woodbridge for many years before they closed.

Edward served in the Army Reserves.

He was a life member of the Raritan Bay Anglers Club, and he enjoyed fishing and going to different casinos.

Edward was predeceased by his siblings Max, Gladys, and Caroline. He is survived by his loving wife Martha Sydorko Johnson, his children Gail Johnson and her partner Karen Youngman of Hillsborough, and Roy Johnson and his wife Marianne of Forestport, NY, two granddaughters Kimberly and Laura and great granddaughter Kaylee. He is also survived by his sister Marie Resch of Lakeworth, FL, and three sisters-in-law Eve, Kay, and Tess, brother-in-law Joe and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday May 9, 2015 from 9:30 am to 12 noon, followed by a funeral service at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue Fords. Cremation will be private.
